Error costs Olympic Des Hughes A simple goalkeeping error was all that separated Olympic and the Sunshine Coast in last Sunday’s Queensland State League fixture at Goodwin Park, Yeronga, as the home side went down to the league leaders by a solitary goal. Stand in goal keeper Rick Kruger—who replaced the injured David Pattinson at half time after he sustained a hand injury—will no doubt still be haunted by his goal keeping gaff that led to the only goal of a tense game. Shortly after the half time interval Kruger inexplicably fumbled a regulation cross into the path of Coast striker Tyson Homes, who was left with the easiest of tap-ins. |

 Bobby's Thoughts on Round 1 of the QSL Last week everyone involved at olympic Im sure was very disappointed with the result against the Q.A.S.. Personally as the coach I feel that our performance suggests there is not a great deal wrong generally , with our play , although in saying that, it is clear that our ball movement and player movement off the ball needs to improve. Also our defending must improve as it was disappointing on the day .As a team when you score three goals at home and concede four it is extremely disappointing. |
